Winters bring along dry and itchy skin problems. There are few steps to follow which will prevent this skin damage. Many people would face this issue but usually are not aware of what can be done.
Below are few ideas to avoid dry skin:
Use Mild Soaps
The basic function of using soap is to remove the oils, dirt, and impurities from your skin. A squeaky-clean feeling on the skin isn’t good for the skin either. This means you have washed off the natural skin protection which keeps your skin alive as well. During winters, consider a mild soap, which is gentle to your skin and does not remove essential oils.
Warm Showers
A warm shower during cold winters can feel good, whereas; hot water would irritate your skin. Turn the shower to the temperature which is bearable for bathing. Do not take long showers in warm or hot water. Use shower creams that will moisturize your skin while you wash it.

Dry Yourself, rehydrate
After taking a shower, your skin needs proper moisture. During winters, your pores are enlarged, therefore dry yourself with a towel. Do not rub or scrub, just dab gently. Immediately after drying, apply some moisturizer. This way your skin will rejuvenate and avoid getting dry skin.
Laundry Products
During winter, if you usually suffer from dry skin, switch your laundry products to winter-friendly. Use detergents without dyes and fragrances because that might itch. Do not over-dry your laundry in winters.
Sanitizer issue
In 2020, we all need to use sanitizer a lot. It contains alcohol which irritates skin when cut or dry. If possible, try to switch to hand wash often. Wash your hands and apply a good moisturizer as well.
These are few things we can do during this winter to minimize getting dry skin.
